Our Story and Values

Disabled Scholars Coalition was built to help disabled students and scholars find support, share knowledge, and advocate for more equitable learning environments.

Our Story

Built from lived experience

Our coalition grew from the real barriers disabled students and scholars face in classrooms, campuses, and professional spaces. We create room for connection, practical guidance, and shared advocacy so no one has to navigate those systems alone.

“Disabled Scholars Coalition helped me feel seen as both a student and an advocate. The community, resources, and encouragement gave me the confidence to keep going and to speak up for what accessibility should look like.”
